The WolfPack started to heat up offensively and defensively in the second quarter, increasing their lead to 7-4 at halftime. After the intermission, Great Oak put up four more goals in each of the final two quarters, while their defense clamped down on the Wolverines and let up only one goal in the second half.
Taylor led all scorers with his eight goals. Freshman Sean Sanchez had three goals and two assists. Senior Adam Utter scored two goals.
Tough defense lead by senior Tyler Palmer, sophomore Louie Fiacco and junior Grant Gotuzzo (Jr) along with LSM Jacob Yordy (S) held Aliso to five goals and only one in the second half.
Next up: Great Oak (4-2) travels to El Toro (3-2) on St. Patty’s Day. Aliso Niguel (3-1) starts South Coast League play with a game against Tesoro (4-1) on Thursday.
