The Beckman Patriots blew past the Yorba Linda Mustangs 12-6 on Saturday in a non-conference match up.
The visiting Patriots, looking to rebound from a tough overtime loss to El Toro, jumped out to a 3-0 first quarter lead that they never relinquished. Jack Bilello led the Patriots offense with 6 points (2 goals, 4 assists), Justin Cheng controlled the middle of the field (10 groundballs, 4 takeaways, 1g, 1a), and Tyler Schweickert stayed strong between the pipes with 10 saves.
Alex Watson (2g, 1a), Dean Nagle (2g, 1a), Spencer Thomson (2g), Kyle Seiler (2g) and Zack Carter (3a) rounded out the Beckman scoring.
The Patriots (2-2) open Pacific Coast Conference play by visiting University (Irvine) on March 21. Yorba Linda (3-3) travels to El Toro (2-2) on Tuesday.
