Yorba Linda Lacrosse Academy Announces Winter Season Registration

Mike Schreiber, head coach at Yorba Linda High School, announced that registration is now open for the Yorba Linda Lacrosse Academy’s Lightning Lacrosse League. The Academy serves boys in 3rd through 8th grade living in Yorba Linda and surrounding communities which include Placentia, Brea, Anaheim Hills and Fullerton. League games begin December 2, 2012 and end January 27, 2013. The fee for each player is $295. The Academy also offers a $30 multi-child discount. Families have until October 19, 2012 to register their players online or by mail. An additional walk-in registration is scheduled for October 21, 2012, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Dick’s Sporting Goods, Yorba Linda. Lightning Lacroose follows an eight-on-eight game format. Players compete for two 25-minute running halves with one 5-minute break in between. Team rosters average 13 players and are coached by parent volunteers who undergo comprehensive league-led training, as well as fingerprinting and background checks for player safety.
