Woodbridge High School (Irvine, Calif.) senior left handed attackman Ryan Goodman has committed to play collegiate lacrosse at The University of Nevada-Reno for the 2015 season.
Nevada-Reno currently plays in the WCLL conference in the MCLA. Goodman is a four-year varsity letterman who started his career with Irvine High School before moving and transferring to Woodbridge in the middle of his junior year. In addition to being a four-year varsity letterman in lacrosse, Goodman was a three-year varsity starting quarterback for both Woodbridge and Irvine.
Woodbridge Coach Tim Codde is fully confident that Goodman’s abilities will transfer to the next level and anticipates a big senior year from his captain. “Ryan will be one of our senior leaders and captain of the attacks on offense. He will be a major contributor to the success of the team and play an important role in creating opportunities and scoring on offense. He has great field vision, good size and deceptive speed and a solid shot. A definite concern and threat to other defenses.”
The Nevada-Reno Wolfpack were 9-4 in their 2013 campaign and are looking to claim a WCLL title in 2014 after falling short and losing to UC Santa Cruz in league finals last year. The Pack return all but two players and have scheduled strong out-of-conference teams this year including St. Mary’s, Chico State, and UC Davis.
