Woodbridge Beats Irvine to Stay Perfect in League

Senior night at Woodbridge opened by honoring the graduating Warriors and ended in celebration of the team’s 7-4 win over visiting Irvine High. The win kept Woodbridge (11-2, 4-0) unbeaten in Pacific Coast League play.

Fittingly, it was the No. 19 Warriors’ seniors who keyed the victory. Attack Paul Tran led Woodbridge with three goals, and Joe Taman had assists on two of Tran’s goals. Fellow seniors Brent Buckland (1g, 1a), Ian Nakano (1a) and Cullen Darius (1a) also contributed to the scoring

Juniors Matthew Chung (2g) and Nick Krolikowski (1g) found the net for Woodbridge, as well.

The Warriors will visit Aliso Niguel on Saturday (2 p.m.) for a nonleague contest before resuming Coast League play Monday at Northwood.
