The Westchester Recreation Center is offering a free Lacrosse Carnival on Saturday, Oct. 28, from 10 a.m to noon, to introduce the sport to any interested boys and girls in grades K-8. No experience or equipment is necessary, but bring cleats if you have them.
Also, the Westchester Recreation Center (7000 W. Manchester Ave.) will be forming teams in December for its late-winter/early-spring season. There will be boys and girls teams at multiple grade levels from K-8, and the teams will practice and play games from January through March.
The program starts with a Lacrosse Day on Dec. 2 at the Westchester Rec Center. Registration will be through the Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks and will cost $10 for the entire season, including equipment and uniforms.
Lacrosse is growing fast, and for eight years the Westchester Rec Center has introduced hundreds of girls and boys to the exciting sport of Lacrosse.
If you can’t make it to either the Lacrosse Carnival or Lacrosse Day in December, stay informed about Westchester lacrosse opportunities by emailing Dan Mohler ([email protected]) to join the club’s database.
