Week 1 Top 20 Lists Released

Print Last year’s Southern Division finalists St. Margaret’s and Corona del Mar have not even played a game, yet they are already jockeying for position at the top of the Orange County lacrosse pyramid. The Week 1 MaxLaxOC.com Top 20 and the US Lacrosse Coaches Polls has been released, with most teams holding steady after this weekend’s games. Most notably the Tartans and Sea Kings swapped postions at the top of the Coaches’ Poll, with St. Margaret’s now occupying the top position. Foothill’s 11-2 win over Los Alamitos on Saturday had no impact on the poll as the two teams remained held their positions in the polls. Tesoro’s 8-6 victory on Saturday was not enough to nudge them up from No. 10 in the coaches’ poll past Los Al who occupies the No. 9 slot in that poll. The Titans and Griffins get to settle it on the field on Wednesday as the Knights Challenge continues.

Most of the action in the MaxLaxOC.com Top 20 was in the lower half as Trabuco Hills High School was rewarded for their upset victory over Woodbridge with the No. 20 spot. Woodbridge fell out with the loss.
