Village Christian Improves to 2-1 with Rout of Brentwood

Village Christian jumped on host Brentwood early Saturday, building a 13-3 advantage at halftime en route to a 22-5 victory, the Crusaders’ second big win of the week. On Thursday, they beat Hart 18-4.

Junior middie Kyler Konjoyan led the Crusaders (2-1) with seven goals and one assist Saturday. That followed five-goal performances against Hart and Crespi, giving him 17 goals in three games.

Seniors Harrison Woo had four goals and four assists and Griffen Rodas had one goal and four assists against Brentwood. Freshmen Will Markel and Kalwin Iga and sophomore Chun Miles each scored two goals.

Sophomore Matthew Walz won 20 of 25 face-offs for Village, and sophomore goalie Jacob Zinder recorded 11 saves.

The Crusaders next play at St. John Bosco on Wednesday.
