Victory Lacrosse Announces Spring Box League

vlaxlogoVictory Lacrosse will be hosting U11, U13, and U15 spring box lacrosse leagues at SJC Sports Rinks in San Juan Capistrano during April and May. Victory promotes box lacrosse as an important element in the development of the complete lacrosse player. Box Lacrosse has proven its immense value to NCAA Division I, II, and III coaches across the US by the proven abilities and influx of the “hybrid” lacrosse player to college lacrosse. Coach Glen Miles says “Box Lacrosse is a crucial element of training for our Victory Lacrosse Programing. This program will teach our players great stick handling skills and small group offense and defense.” Hall of Fame Coach Bill Tierney from Denver University said, “I believe that box lacrosse gives young people many more opportunities to excel in our game. If I had my choice, I would have every player under the age of 12 play box lacrosse exclusively or at least for majority of the time. The number of touches of the ball and the ability to develop better stick skills in a game of box lacrosse far surpasses what happens to young players on a 110×60 yard field. Learning how to pass and catch in traffic, understanding how to shoot, and developing a sense of physicality are all positive traits developed by the box game.”
