Dear Members,

As the new President of the Orange County Chapter of US Lacrosse, I want to welcome you to the 2015 lacrosse season! This year is shaping up to be a fantastic year of lacrosse in Orange County. Lacrosse continues to be the fastest growing sport in our community and supporting its growth will remain our chapter’s number one priority. I am humbled and honored to have been recently elected President of the Orange County Chapter and to work along side such an outstanding group of committed volunteers that now make up our chapter’s new board.

THANK YOU to all the individuals who expressed interest in volunteering with the chapter. The response was overwhelming and we hope to utilize each of you in future chapter activities. I am confident that the chapter is well equipped for the future with strong volunteers willing to commit themselves to the business of making lacrosse available to anyone wanting to pick up a stick.

I am very excited to share my vision for success in Orange County. Our chapter will embrace the values of inclusion, clarity and transparency.

Inclusion– to make sure all our members have a voice and opportunities for those wanting to serve.
Clarity– we will establish a clear set of initiatives and communicate regularly with membership
Transparency– our members can be assured that our intentions are to provide our children with a safe, fun and fair environment to play the sport of lacrosse.

Like many of you, I have seen the positive impact lacrosse can have on young people. My wife and I have four children that play the game; Jerecho, Journey, Jade and Jacy and together we’ve experienced the good and, at times, the ‘not so good’. My objective in this new role is to focus on the good and make that a reality for as many kids as possible. Because, as a parent, I know if our kids are having fun everything is so much easier.

If you would like to reach me for any reason please email me at

Yours in lacrosse,

John Fischbeck
