Tritons Open SF Trip with a W

San Clemente headed north to the SF Bay area for three games during their Spring Break and opened up the trip winning a high scoring affair 21-9 against The Menlo School in Atherton, CA. San Clemente jumped ahead 5-0 quickly with a face-off win and unassisted goal by Sander Lush followed by 2 goals each from Nick Lemus and Josh Sanchez. The Menlo School made a furious comeback and closed to gap to 8-5 early in the second quarter however San Clemente’s defense, led by Caleb Bozarth, Ryan Crawford, Cade Norland, and Lance Buckley held firm with several caused turnovers and key takeaways. Ryan Crawford (1 goal, 1 assist) and Caleb Bozarth contributed with a nifty steal and assist to Sanchez (3 goals, 3 assist) for another score to keep San Clemente in control.

Nick Lemus (7 goals, 1 assist) ignited the San Clemente offense with support from Matt Keany (4 goals, 2 assist), Sander Lush (2 goals, 1 assist), Branden Wilson (2 goals), David Howren (1 goal, 1 assist) and Jake Steele. Next up for San Clemente is California-Central Coast CIF #5 rated Bellarmine Prep.
