Juliet Mooney, a senior at Trabuco Hills High School, has committed to play NCAA Division III lacrosse at Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio. Mooney is a four-year starter and two-time captain for the Mustangs.
A prolific scorer who netted 64 goals in each of the last two seasons, Mooney also gets it done in the classroom. In addition to earning Second Team All-County honors in 2017, Mooney was also one of six girls’ lacrosse players from Orange County to garner All-Academic recognition.
Mooney is a full diploma candidate in the International Baccaulerate (IB) Program, and plans on double majoring in Environmental Studies and Law & Society at Oberlin. She also finds time to serve at Saddleback Hospital, and tries to get to Athlete’s Choice as often as possible. Her goal for this coming season: Keep the games against Mater Dei and Foothill as close as possible.
The Oberlin Yeomen finished 2017 with a 14-2 record and reached the North Coast Athletic Conference Championship Game where they fell to Denison 15-10.
