After finishing 1-1 on their Connecticut road trip, moved past to earn the top spot in this week’s MaxLaxSD .

Torrey Pines (9-1) suffered their first loss of the season against Darien (CT) this past Friday, but responded the following day by defeating Ridgefield (CT) 9-7.  Currently in the midst of a 10-day break between games, the Falcons will look to continue their season-long success next week, when they face off against San Dieguito Academy on April 17.

Along with Torrey Pines claiming the No. 1 spot in this week’s coaches poll, other schools found themselves moving up the poll as well. Poway (5-5) jumped one spot to No. 3, and (6-6) moved up four spots to No. 9 after defeating both La Jolla and Mount Carmel this past week.

In addition, (9-3) moved up two spots to No. 8 and are currently in the midst of a three-game winning streak.  Further more, both La Jolla (7-5) and (6-4) dropped two spots to fall to the No. 10 and No. 11 spots of the poll.
