Top MCLA Division I Teams kick off the 1st Annual LAX Coaches vs Cancer games benefiting the American Cancer Society, Feb. 20-23 in Palm Desert, Calif. The Southwestern Lacrosse Conference (SLC) has partnered with the EMW Foundation to bring the idea to fruition.
Top MCLA D1 teams will participate, including #1 Colorado State, #2 Colorado, #4 BYU, #5 Chapman, #8 Oregon, #10 Boston College from 2,500 miles away, and arguably the most exciting team to crash the MCLA Party in a while; #12 Grand Canyon. The Lopes are a burgeoning team with stellar offensive ability due to an abundance of Canadian box-style players.
All the participating teams have purchased special purple LAX Coaches vs Cancer Shirts and all the proceeds go directly to the American Cancer Society. All games being played at Hovley Soccer Park, 74735 Hovley Lane East, Palm Desert, CA 92260 and admission is FREE although donations for ACS are accepted!

The SLC is a member conference of the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (www.mcla.us) that includes 12 Division I and 11 Division II teams from Arizona, Southern California, and Las Vegas. Including highly ranked pre-season favorites such as Concordia (DII), and Arizona State, Chapman, UC Santa Barbara, Grand Canyon, and UCLA (all DI).
