Cate School continues to climb in the US Lacrosse/MaxLaxLA coaches poll, moving from No. 9 to No. 7 this week after two more victories. Peninsula also moved up two spots, from No. 15 to No. 13, after wins over El Segundo and Mira Costa, the latter in overtime.

 
Royal fell three spots to No. 9 after losing twice last week, to No. 11 West Ranch and No. 6 Birmingham.

Valencia, riding a four-game winning streak in its inaugural lacrosse season, is the other big mover this week, joining the Top 20 for the first time at No. 20. Newbury Park (2-10) dropped out despite a win over No. 15 Westlake.
