For the second year in a row, not only did Orange County host the tournament but OC teams and players were a big part of the storyline. Over 3,000 fans showed up at Chapman University to watch St. Margaret’s alum Brandon Suchand lead Grand Canyon University to their first ever MCLA Division 1 National Championship and Concordia University get edged out of their first Division 2 championship 12-11 by Dayton. Suchand was joined on the All-Tournament by Foothill alum Cooper Pickell Chapman’s Dylan Garner and Brendan Croteau.

The event has been so successful that it will return to UCI and Chapman for a third consecutive year in 2016.2016 MCLA National Championships Tournament will take place May 9-14 at UC Irvine (May 9-10) and Chapman Stadium (May 12 & 14). Tickets are $3/person May 9-10; $10 & $15 (reserved box seat) May 12 & 14.  More information will be available at, which is currently under construction for an upgrade.  The site is expected live again by the end of October.  All  tournament information will be available on the site by Jan 1, 2016.

The MCLA will offer a 50/50 ticketing fundraiser to area youth and high school programs once again, and will  donate up to $5,000 through this program. The MCLA returns 50% of all tickets sold by a school back to the school.  Easy fundraising money!
