The Week in Review

Believe it or not there are only two weeks and 70 games left in the 2014 high school lacrosse season.  It is now time to start thinking in terms of Top 16 and Top 8 rather than Top 10 and Top 20.A US Lacrosse seeding committee will select and seed 16 playoff teams .  The Top 8 will have home field advantage for the first round.

With many schools enjoying spring break, it was a rather quiet week.  Nevertheless, there were still some newsworthy events.  CdM’s #bahhumbug defense shutout JSerra’s high octane offense for an entire half and held the Lions to 8 goals below their season average to lead the Sea Kings to an upset.  Great Oak showed they may have been the best kept secret in local lacrosse this season when they handled Tesoro.  What does it all mean to the playoff picture?  Let’s take a look.
