Scream Lacrosse will be holding tryouts for its summer Team Scream programs this month with sessions at Chaminade in West Hills and at Mira Costa in Manhattan Beach.
The first tryout session takes place Saturday, May 12, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Chaminade and is for current 4th-8th grade girls. All athletes participating in the SCLA All-Star game are encouraged to skip this tryout session and participate in the game.
Subsequent tryout sessions will be held as follows:
New U-18 athletes: Sat., May 19, 7:30-9:30 a.m. at Chaminade.
Returning U-18 athletes: Saturday, May 19, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Chaminade.
All levels: Sunday, May 20, 7 a.m.-10 a.m. at Mira Costa HS.
All prospective Scream athletes must register in advance for the tryouts, and parents must sign the liability waiver in order for athletes to participate.
Team Scream is planning to compete this summer at the Pacific Lacrosse Festival (June 22-24, San Diego), the Riptide Classic (June 30-July 1, Irvine), the Legends Meltdown (July 14-15, Moorpark) and the Long Island 3 Lacrosse Classic (July 21-22, Hempstead, N.Y.).
