Five Orange County high school players helped lead 212 Lacrosse to the 2016/17 Division championship at the 3d Lacrosse Oceanside Hustle this weekend. Shawn Rodriguez, 2017 defenseman from Dana Hills High School, the San Clemente High School trio of Nick Lemus (2017 attack/midi), Omeed Farhadi (2017 defenseman), and Caleb Bozarth (2016 defenseman), as well as Santa Margarita Catholic High School midfielder Quentin Buchman, all contributed to the team’s success.
The 212 Elite team finished the top division of tournament with a perfect 5-0 record. The team notched wins over 3d Oregon, Sac ADVNC , and New Wave Apex in pool play on Saturday. On Sunday, they beat Alpha Elite 6-4 in the semifinals before breaking the three year win streak of 3d NorCal 8-6 in the championship game.
