Streeter Debuts with Goal and More NCAA Updates

Former San Clemente Triton and Newhart Panther Austin Streeter scored a goal in his first game for NCAA Division 1 Bellarmine University.   Streeter, who started at attack for the Knights, scored with 0:48 left in the first quarter to give his team a 4-2 lead.  The lead would not hold up though as Michigan rode a big second half to earn a 16-9 victory.  Streeter will be in action again Saturday when the Knights travel to Moon Township, PA to take on Robert Morris University.

Hayden Ruiz (Santa Margarita Catholic High School) also had an impressive college debut.  Ruiz scored two goals in Boston University’s 18-6 win over Mercer University.  Ruiz and the Terriers travel to Buffalo New York on Saturday to play Canisius.

Captain Knute Kraus (Tesoro High School) picked up two groundballs and caused two turnovers for Salisbury University in their 24-1 win over Greensboro on Saturday.  The Gulls travel to Lynchburg on Saturday.

Southwestern University sophomore Jordan Riggs (San Clemente) picked up two groundballs and caused a turnover in the Pirates’ 10-6 win over Hendrix on Saturday.
