St. Margaret’s Doubles Up Park City

 stopped eight of the 14 shots she faced to help St. Margaret’s to a 12-6 victory over the visiting Park City High School Miners.  Jones also helped herself with two groundballs.  The Miners are the defending Utah state champions.
The Tartans opened up an 8-3 lead by by halftime and quickly grew that margin by scoring two goals early in the second half.  With Jones blockading the goal, the game was safely in hand at that point.
, , and  helped take some of the pressure of Jones with a combined 14 draw wins (nine by Young) and 11 groundballs.  Young led the Tartans scorers with five points (4 goals, 1 assist).  Miles (1g, 1a) and Barkate (3g) also had multi point games.

Park City will complete their weekend trip with games against Foothill and Newport Harbor today.  St. Margaret’s travels to Corona del Mar on Tuesday.
