St. Margaret’s Continues On

No. 7 Trabuco Hills picked the wrong time, the wrong place, and the wrong opponent to go into a game with an injury depleted defense on Thursday.  The Mustangs ran into a formidable St. Margaret’s  team anxious to remind the community that the Tartans are peaking at the right time, and that they too are part of the championship conversation this season.  A Tartans offensive explosion led to a 20-3 halftime score and a 25-6 final.

Senior Paddy Fallon (2 goals, 4 assists) led all scorers with six points in his last game on the Tartans’ home field.  Nick Shanks (4 goals, 1 assist), Samuel Harnisch (5g), Kevin Cox (3g, 2a) and Eric Suh (4g, 1a) all finished with 5 points.  Nick Kuljis (1g), Nick Iavarone (1a), Ryan Harnisch (1g, 2a), Conrad Hampsen (2g), Blaine Nelson (1g), and Fernando Delgado (1g)  completed the Tartans’ scoring.

Harrison Evans (3g), Wyatt Koudelka  (1g, 1a), Jake Marthens (1g), Andrew Blume (1g, 1a) accounted for the Mustangs’ scoring.

The Mustangs finish 2015 with a South Coast League Championship and a 15-4 record.  The Tartans irresistible force of an offense has a date with Corona del Mar’s immovable object of a defense on Saturday.
