The St. Margaret’s boys lacrosse team fell short in their bid on Thursday to displace St. Ignatius as the No. 1 team in the West. The Tartans took a 9-8 lead into the fourth quarter but could only muster one goal in the final frame as St. Ignatius pulled out the 11-10 win.
The No. 5 Tartans were led by another outstanding faceoff performance by Stu Pollard (17/26) and five points from Koa Todd (3g, 2a). Zane Handy has 13 saves.
Nate Sanchez (2g, 1a), Kevin Groeninger (1g, 2a) had multi-point nights while Nico Vorzimer, Langston Sholl, Cooper Barkate and John Culley scored one apiece for the Tartans.
