Smith Paces Sea Kings in 18-3 Rout of West Ranch

Junior Rizal Smith scored three goals and had four assists Tuesday, leading eight Sea Kings into the scoring column as No. 1-seeded Palos Verdes dispatched No. 16-seed West Ranch 18-3.

Aidan Westley, Jake Nolls and Jack Larkin each scored three goals for PV, which led 8-1 after one quarter and 13-1 at halftime. Jarret Jones and Gage Rowland scored twice each, and Josh Park and Austin Lowi each scored once. Both PV backup goalkeepers played in the second half.

The Sea Kings now face No. 9 Newbury Park, which beat No. 8 Oak Park 9-5 Tuesday, in a Thursday quarterfinal game at Palos Verdes.
