The Simi Valley Youth Lacrosse club is offering two free youth lacrosse clinics this month designed both for boys and girls who have never before picked up a stick, as well as for those with some experience.
The clinics are scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 23, at the Royal High School stadium, and Sunday, Oct. 30, at the Simi Valley High School stadium. Both clinics run from 10 a.m. to noon and will be run by coaches and players from Simi Valley and Royal high schools.
No equipment is required, but players should arrive in athletic attire and with cleats, if possible. Players will be grouped by age and skill level, and the clinic will include lacrosse drills, a shooting contest (with radar gun) and raffle items.
All participants are welcome at both clinics, which also will serve as an opportunity to size uniforms and select jersey numbers for both new and returning players.
Registration for the Simi Valley Youth Lacrosse spring season will begin this month. Practices start in the middle of January, and games are played during March and April. For more information, visit SimiValleyYouthLacrosse.com.
