Simi Valley HS will be host to the city’s second college lacrosse game of the season Tuesday when the USC Trojans take on the Dominican Penguins in an MCLA game.
A week ago, USC defeated the University of Florida 13-6 in a game played at Royal HS.
Both Simi Valley HS and Royal HS have partnered with the USC program to hold Trojans’ home games in Simi Valley. The events serve as fundraisers for the two programs, as well as an opportunity to expose local players — both high-school age and younger — to the college game and potential future opportunities.
USC is 5-4 overall this season and is coming off a 6-2 loss to Southern Methodist on Saturday in a game played at Palisades Charter HS. Dominican brings a 2-2 record into Tuesday’s 7 p.m. contest — gates open at 5:30 p.m. — and is coming off a lopsided 26-6 win over Loyola Marymount on Saturday.
