Sieverts Scores Fifth Two-Pointer in Win vs Lizards

The Outlaws return to their winning ways with a win over the Lizards 16-11. Corona del Mar High School assistant coach and Team MLL All-Star Jeremy Sieverts had two goals in the effort including his league leading fifth two-pointer.

The Denver Outlaws now move to a commanding 6-1 record, the best in the league. The Outlaws came out strong in the first quarter, completely shutting out the Lizards. Denver seemed to gain back their confidence after last weekend’s loss to Charlotte, scoring four goals to take a 4-0 lead. Sieverts was responsible for one of these tallies and it looked like he wouldn’t stop there. The Lizards had major communication issues and were unable to generate any offense in the first fifteen minutes.

After Rob Pannell got the Lizards on the board Sieverts struck back with his fifth two-pointer of the season, a league high. The Outlaws wouldn’t look back as they cruised to their sixth win and a statement game against a good Lizards team.

Next week, New York hosts Newport Harbor High School assistant Josh Hawkins and the Charlotte Hounds at Shuart Stadium at 7:00 p.m. ET on Saturday 6/21 on ESPN3.com. Denver will remain home at Mile High, and with the help of Sieverts and CdM assistant coach Noah Molnar will take on the Chesapeake Bayhawks at on Saturday 6/21 on ESPN3.com at 7:00 p.m. ET.
