Shootout for Soldiers Moves to Murrieta Mesa

Shootout for Soldiers California returns for the fourth consecutive year on August 11-12, but will be held at Murrieta Mesa High School this year. The change in venue from Dana Hills High School was necessitated by ongoing construction on the Dana Hills turf field.

The event, which can now be called a tradition, raised nearly $40,000 last year for organizations that support American Veterans. Once again, SFS has partnered with national partners Gary Sinise Foundation, Semper Fi, Ranger Lead the Way Fund, and Team RWB.

Shootout for Soldiers is comprised of 24, 1-hour games played continually with a running score and is open to teams of all ages. Each team that registers earns a one 1-hour slot as part of either Stars or Stripes, and will be matched with an opposing team of the same age.

Every team must fundraise a minimum $750 to play, and with an initial $100 donation at time of registration, which can be completed by a team Captain, coach, parent or player, teams are on the way to success. Once the team page is created, players can then click “Join a Team”, simply enter the team name, and complete a personal registration with a $25 donation, which will also set up your individual fundraising page. The player can share his/her page with your friends, families, fans and team sponsors. All donations are tax deductible.

Don’t be left out.  The 48 slots sell out annually and there is no reason to believe this year will be any different.
