Sophomore Milo Sherman won 29 face-offs Thursday, enabling No. 11 Palisades to pile up goals in a 29-5 rout of first-year program El Camino Real in a City League matchup. It was the Dolphins’ second lopsided City League win this week and third overall.
Palisades (7-3, 3-0) will face a much tougher test Friday, when No. 5 Westlake visits fresh off a 21-13 loss at Orange County No. 1 Foothill.
Thursday, however, Palisades had it easy. Eleven Dolphins players scored goals, led by Aidan Caso with seven and Macchio Rissone with five. James Burks, Reicher Bergstein and Grant Wilson each scored three.
El Camino (1-9, 1-5) has beaten only North Valley Military in its inaugural lacrosse season, although the Conquistadors have taken both Valley Academy and Hamilton to overtime before losing.
