Hank Ontiveros, a junior at Santa Fe Christian Schools has verbally committed to play at Division 1 Wagner College in New York. Ontiveros, a face-off/attackman and 3-year varsity starter announced his decision this week. He also lettered in football and soccer.
Ontiveros is excited about the opportunity to play at the Division 1 level and on a team where he can make an impact. Although recruited as a face-off specialist, he will have the opportunity to play on the field.
Santa Fe Christian Head Coach Tom DeMaio: “The whole Santa Fe Christian family is excited for Hank, particularly me who has been blessed to see and be a part of his development over the past few years. He works really hard and I have no doubt he will be an impact player at the division 1 level.”
Hank is looking to earn his degree in business management. Wagner is known for its excellent school of business and offers their students exposure to connections with several major New York corporations.
The Wagner Seahawks are 0-3 in the Northeast Conference and 5-7 overall. They’ve suffered injuries to key players including their starting 3 midfielders.
