No. 18 Servite High School treated the honorees to a victory and kept their playoff hopes alive by edging No. 17 Mater Dei 9-8 on Thursday.  The win snapped a four game losing streak for the Friars while extending the Monarch’s skid to five games.

Chase Anderson (3 goals, 1 assist) lead a group of seven Friars who found the back of the net.  Kyle Cartwright (1g, 2a) and Jack Brennan (1g, 1a) also had multi-point nights.  Austin Felix, Alex Murrietta , Stephen Shatynkski, and Gordon Livermore scored one goal apiece.  Livermore dominated faceoffs with 18 wins.

Next up: Mater (5-10) finishes their regular season against J Serra on Tuesday and Dana Hills on Wednesday.  Servite travels to San Clemente on Saturday.
