Sean Waterman, an attack on the SoCal Express 2019 team, is The Athletes Choice Work Horse of the Week. Waterman was the igniting force behind the potent SoCal Express offense that went undefeated this past weekend at the Battle of L.A.
Paddy Chester, head coach of the Express, described Waterman as a “tenacious, 100 percent, ‘never say die’, and coachable” type of player. Chester went on to state that through his unselfishness and “for the team” mentality, Waterman “epitomizes the type of player” the Express staff looks for.
Waterman is a rising junior at Mater Dei. Ha has been playing varsity lacrosse for the Monarchs since he was a freshman. Throughout his freshman and sophomore year, Waterman tallied 63 goals in 37 games played. Perhaps more impressively, Waterman has picked up 110 ground balls in his first two seasons highlighting Waterman’s ability to do the dirty work as well as score goals.
