San Clemente captain Cade Norland has committed to play lacrosse at MCLA Division 1 Arizona State University (ASU). ASU is a nationally recognized MCLA powerhouse and won the Southwestern Lacrosse League (SLC) championship from 2012-14 and was the national runner-up in 2014. “We’re excited Cade is joining the ASU lacrosse program. His aggressive defensive style of play and high lacrosse IQ will make him a perfect fit at ASU.”
Norland was a starter this past season on defense for the Tritons and helped guide the team to a 13-7 record and South Coast League title. A big, physical presence, Norland helped anchor the Tritons’ defense.
“I’m very excited Cade will be continuing his lacrosse career at ASU,” stated San Clemente head Coach Brad Reppert. “In a short period of time at San Clemente, Cade has had an impressive impact on our program with his leadership skills and commitment to always deliver his best effort on the field. I know these characteristics will serve him well at ASU.”
“ASU is a great fit for me,” said Norland. “The education is outstanding and it gives me a chance to play college lacrosse at one of the top MCLA D1 programs in the nation.”
