Buchman’s Seven Leads Santa Margarita Over Servite.

Quentin Buchman scored seven goals on just nine shots and assisted on another to lead Santa Margarita to a 17-7 victory over Trinity League rivals Servite on Tuesday. Try as they might, the Friars could not find a way to stop Buchman who had a hat trick before the game was five minutes old.

Buchman was not  a one man show though as the Eagles defense, Chase Lynch (18/21 on faceoffs for an 88% winning percentage), and eight other goal scorers all made key contributions.  Logan Dochterman (1g, 4a) picked up five points while quarterbacking the offense.  Jack Allender and Jack Fisher each scored two goals. Zach Taylor (1g, 2a), Nicholas Parrino (1g), Shane Cobb (1g), Robert Colley (1g), Tobi Hipp (1g), and Eric Rubak (1a) also chipped in.

Donovan Harper (2g), Kyle Cartwright (1g, 1a), Chase Anderson (1g), Austin Felix (1g, 1a), Jack Brennan (1g,1a), Brock Mclure (1g), Joe Wyper (1a), and Zach Williams (1a) accounted for the Friars’ points.

Next up:  Santa Margarita hosts Mater Dei on Thursday.  Servite travels to El Toro on Friday.
