Laguna Hills – The Santa Margarita girl’s lacrosse team won their fourth straight last night defeating Laguna Hills 12-7. Junior attacker, Sidney Ruiz, led the offense with 2 goals and 3 assists while fellow attackers, Bella Martinez and Maddie Bush, each scored 3 goals in the strongest offensive push of the season.
Other goal contributors included Kendal Orrantia, Caylee Harrison and Natalie Matteson with one goal apiece.
Despite a slow start, the Eagles were able to pick up momentum with strong, aggressive defensive play. Junior, Aidan Pike had a great game including 5 GB’s, 2 assists, an interception, and 3 draw controls.
The team faces a strong Tesoro opponent next Monday away in a crucial South Section match.
