5 Things to Know: San Juan Hills Boys Lacrosse

Put San Juan Hills boys lacrosse on the list of programs to watch.  Despite winning only three games last season, the game continues to grow at San Juan Hills.  This season the Stallions will field their largest team ever. A deep class of returning seniors, a plethora of multi-sport athletes,  and a commitment to year-round training make the Stallions a team to watch.  Here are five things to know about the San Juan Hills Stallions boys lacrosse team, courtesy of head coach Albert Tat.

The Stallions Have Depth

This will be San Juan Hills’ largest team with over 60 players.  We have 26 freshmen joining our program and 23 multi-sport athletes.

The Stallions are Committed

We have an off-season program with conditioning two days per week and field practice on Sundays.  Our players have really bought into the need to work year round.

A Busy Fall Will Have the Stallions Ready in the Spring

We will be participating in 3 events to prepare for the upcoming season; OC Fall Brawl (2 teams), Sin City Showdown (2 teams), and the Tribz league (3 teams).

The Stallions Have Experience

We have a strong group of returning seniors led by Chase Delaurie (D), Cruz Santana (M), and Connor Lynch (LSM), Spencer Cendejas (A), Alex Naddor (M), Jacob Chung (M), Tyler Jaeckel (D), Tristan Pyle (G), Matt Salmon (M) and Troy Mederios (A).  Most have been three-year varsity players, and because we only graduated five players from last year’s team, we will have depth at each position with the addition of our rising classes.

The Stallions Will Be Athletic

You can see a number of our players on the football team, basketball team, water polo team, rugby team, and track team.  We encourage playing multiple sports to create the ideal lacrosse player.
