Brad Belasco (Poway), Hans Gieschen (Westview) and Hobart Teets (San Marcos HS) were among the 17 newcomers recently welcomed to the Westminster College Men’s Lacrosse roster.  Belasco, Gieschen and Teets were all First Team All-League performers and San Diego Union-Tribune All-Academics last season.  Belasco will wear no. 5 for the Griffins, Gieschen no. 16 and Teets no. 31.

Westminster plays in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference against Colorado Mesa, Adam State, Rockhurst and CSU-Pueblo.  The Griffins finished 2016 with a 9-3 overall and 7-1 league record.

This year the Westminster men’s lacrosse team welcomes our largest class with seventeen players joining the Griffin squad. This group reveals the rapid growth of the game in the west with players representing seven different states. Of the newcomers, Oregon leads the way with six student-athletes joining the team. The states of California (four) and Utah (three) are also well represented.
