SAN DIEGO, July 23, 2018 – The San Diego Seals announced today that the team has acquired four draft picks, including two first-rounders, from the Saskatchewan Rush in exchange for defenseman Brett Mydske.
San Diego now has three of the top 11 picks in September’s Entry Draft, and three additional picks in the second round. The Seals acquired Mydske in the third round of the 2018 Expansion Draft.
“This is a deep draft, and we’re going to add talented, young players to our roster,” said general manager and head coach Patrick Merrill. “We now have six of the top 25 picks in the Entry Draft.”
The Seals also receive the 50th overall selection in this year’s draft, and a second-round selection in 2019.
