The San Diego Box league, powered by 3d Lacrosse, crowned champions in each age group of its first annual “Championship Night” Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Kit Park in Escondido. The top two teams in each division squared off to find out who can call themselves “The Best Box Team in San Diego County”. The 5/6 grade and the 7/8 grade championship games kicked off at 6 pm while the Varsity A and Varsity B championships games were played directly after at 7 pm.

The format of one single night to hold championships is new to the SDBL. In the past, championships would meet at the end of the day during the regular season, not altogether in one night. “The youth championship games just before the varsity championship games provided a really exciting environment,” said 3d San Diego Director and founder of the SDBL, . “I think it is important to have the younger players experience a championship setting; but, also be able to stick around after their game and watch the best high school players in the county play at a high level”.

The SDBL Championship match ups were:

Varsity A Championship
Titans vs. Falcons

Varsity B Championship
Saints vs Jaguars

7/8th Box Championship
Coronado vs. San Marcos

5th/6th Box Championship
Coastal vs.
