San Clemente’s Lance Buckley Commits to ASU

San Clemente defenseman and All South Coast Honorable mention Lance Buckley has committed to play lacrosse at MLCA powerhouse Arizona State University (ASU).  Buckley is the second San Clemente defensemen to commit to ASU along with teammate Cade Norland.  ASU is a nationally recognize MCLA powerhouse and won the Southwestern Lacrosse League (SLC) championship from 2012-14 and was the national runner-up in 2014.  “Lance played a key role in the stingy San Clemente defense this season helping the team go undefeated in league play.  He has an extremely well-rounded game coupled with a high lacrosse IQ game that makes him a great fit for our program,” said ASU head coach Todd MacRobbie.

“San Clemente was the fortunate recipient of Lance’s family moving from Pennsylvania to our high school last summer.  It’s not often you get a player of his skill and experience land in your program and make an immediate impact like he did.  Lance’s stick skills, game knowledge, and his ‘off-ball’ game are very impressive and I can’t wait to follow his progress at ASU,” said San Clemente head coach Brad Reppert.

“This past season at San Clemente has been a great experience for me and I’m excited to be going to ASU to continue my lacrosse career,” stated Buckley.  “The combination of academics and lacrosse makes this a great fit for me and I’m looking forward to next season at ASU.”
