Registration for Cali Cup Box Lacrosse Invitational

Orange County, CA (September 25, 2019) – Boys Lacrosse: For Immediate release:

Buku Events announces new Orange County Box Lacrosse Invitational. The Cali Cup will be held the weekend of November 2-3.  Registration is now open to all teams. Cali Cup has intro level divisions for teams just learning or never played the box game (most of us) as well as divisions for more advanced box programs.

Buku Events has been running the Southern California Box Lacrosse League for almost a decade. The SCBLL is now the largest box recreational league in the country with 70+ teams. The Cali Cup will help close out the Box Season for this league and all other box teams from around the Nation. This tournament in its inaugural year will be a can’t miss event.

“We were inspired by the USBOXLA Nationals event that is held in OC each August and we want our local teams to have that same great experience and help keep growing the box game. We want to see our OC players on the national box scene in the future” – Jon Fox, Buku Events Director.

Each registered team is guaranteed 5 games throughout the weekend including playoffs and championships. Each team is $1,500 for all divisions listed below. This is a USBOXLA sanctioned event and all players must have a USBOXLA membership to compete. Current SCBLL league teams receive a discounted rate.

Team Divisions:
Peewee (2026/2027)
Bantam A, B (2024/2025)
Midget A, B (2022/2023)
HS Open A & B
HS Elite

There will be two rink locations in Orange County for the Cali Cup. Huntington Beach Rink and The Rinks at Irvine will host the Cali Cup.
Goalie gear will be available for rent throughout the weekend.

“I am so excited to see teams for the Inaugural Cali Cup to get it going! Box lacrosse has seen a huge growth the past few years and we I think it has now become an essential piece of every players training. This event will allow our local groups to test themselves against competition from all over the country while working to improve in all aspects of the game. Don’t miss out on a fun filled weekend of box lacrosse!” – Adam Guy, Buku Events Director.
