Senior middie Stanton Gilbertson became the third member of the Palos Verdes squad to announce his college choice, making it official that he will attend NCAA Division I Hobart College to play lacrosse.

Gilbertson, an All-American and Bay League Player of the Year last season, led the L.A. champion Sea Kings in scoring with 58 goals in 20 games.

“He is probably the fastest kid in L.A. lacrosse right now,” PV coach Jimmy Borell said. “He’s also the starting running back for the football team. One of the most fun loving kids I’ve ever coached. He plays the game with a ton of energy and always has a smile on his face.”

Gilbertson joins teammates Shane Sharp (Lafayette) and Jarrett Jones (Georgetown) as Division I lacrosse commits. Sharp and Jones are both juniors.
