After defeating Mount Carmel and Westview this past week, Poway (7-6) continued their undefeated league campaign for this season and moved into the No. 3 spot in this week’s MaxLaxSD .

Despite being just one game over .500, the Titans have a 5-2 record against San Diego County teams and the two losses were both decided by one goal.  In addition, Poway’s league dominance is evident as they have defeated league opponents by an average of nine goals this season.

Poway’s schedule only gets tougher, however, as three of their last four games will be on the road.  Also, the Titans will face both Torrey Pines (No. 1 ranked team in MaxLaxSD coaches poll) and Foothill (No. 2 ranked team in MaxLaxOC coaches poll) this week alone.

As for the remainder of the poll, for the second straight week Torrey Pines (12-1) and La Costa Canyon (13-1) stayed at the top two spots. The fight for No. 1 will continue this week as the Falcons and Mavericks square off on Friday, April 27th, in what is highly regarded as one of the best rivalries in all of San Diego County.

Furthermore, La Jolla (9-8) moved back into the top 10 after a 6-5 victory over No. 6 Rancho Bernard, while Coronado (10-3) and Westview (13-4) both dropped one spot in the poll.
