St. Margaret’s boys’ lacrosse made the ride home from Temecula on Tuesday evening seem a little shorter by defeating Great Oak 18-8. Stuart Pollard won 15 of 18 faceoffs giving the Tartans a possession advantage that the Wolfpack could not overcome.
Kevin Groeninger paced the Tartans with eight points (4g, 4a). Conrad Hampson lead all goal scorers with five and assisted on one as well. Andy Shin and Trevor Peay chipped in with three goals, and two goals, respectively. Peay also had two assists.
The Tartans host San Diego power Cathedral Catholic on Thursday. Great Oak travels to San Marcos on Saturday for another inter-Section matchup.
