As we eagerly await the 2015 season, let’s take a moment to identify some of the players we’re looking forward to seeing come March.
This isn’t a ranking (players are listed alphabetically), and it isn’t meant to name the best players at each position. It is meant to highlight a handful of guys we expect will make an impact this spring.
Did we miss someone? Let us know in the comments below, or hit us up on Twitter at @MaxLaxLA.
Today: Top senior attackmen. Next: Top senior midfielders.
Alex Dixon, Crespi: The co-Player of the Year in the Mission League scored 46 goals and had 28 assists as a junior. Dixon is a playmaker who demonstrates an instinctive ability to move defenders with head and stick fakes, opening up shooting and passing lanes.
Colton Michel, Peninsula: A U.S. Lacrosse All-American and the Bay League’s attackman of the year last season, Michel has committed to play collegiately at NCAA Division III Colby College in Maine.
Conor O’Brien, Westlake: A big lefty at 6-foot-3 and 185 pounds, O’Brien scored 61 goals and had 30 assists as a junior, earning first-team all-Marmonte League honors.
Other notable seniors (alphabetical):
Nick Auger, Thousand Oaks; Austin Bleibtreu, Brentwood; Owen Consoletti, Oak Park; Roman Holthouse, Harvard Westlake; Harrison Raine, Viewpoint (committed to Colorado College); Josh Williamson, Redondo Union (committed to Stevenson).
