Trevor Peay (St. Margaret’s ’18) is one of 16 freshmen who were recently announced as new members of the Marquette University men’s lacrosse team. Peay, a 5-7, 150-pound midfielder, will garner no. 19 for the Golden Eagles.
Peay was a dual-sport athlete at St. Margaret’s, earning three letters in lacrosse and two in soccer.The two-time lacrosse captain scored one of the more memorable goals in Tartans history, when he notched the game-winning goal in double overtime against Foothill in the Orange County championship game.
The Marquette freshman group personifies the ever-expanding geographic diversity of the sport with student-athletes from eight states and Canada, including four players from California, three from Minnesota and a pair each from Michigan and Wisconsin.
Marquette went 6-8 last year and fell to then-No. 3 Denver in the 2018 BIG EAST Conference Men’s Lacrosse Championship.
