Payton Rezanka is a Loyola Greyhound

Payton Rezanka (Cathedral Catholic ’18) is one of 13 newcomers who were welcomed to the Loyola men’s lacrosse roster for the 2018-19 academic year. Rezanka is the only Californian in the group of 11 freshmen and two transfers. He will wear no. 34 for the Greyhounds.

Rezanka earned nine varsity letters as a multi-sport athlete at Cathedral Catholic – four in lacrosse, three in football and two in rugby. He was a Dons’ team captain and “Hard Hat Award” winner last season, as well as the rugby team’s Rookie of the Year in 2018 and a member of the 2016 state championship football team.

The Greyhounds finished 2018 with a 13-4 record and the Patriot League championship. They were edged 8-5 in the second round of the NCAA tournament by Yale, the eventual national champions.
