U-17

The LA Cobras (3-0) and Mission Lax (2-0) found themselves in a fight for the top U-17 seed after the first day of play. Both teams had perfect records.  The Cobras feature much of the up and coming talent at Loyola of Los Angeles.  Mission is led by Fallbrook and 395 Starz coach Paul Morgan and El Camino coach Donovan Martinez.

Elite Division

On paper and on the field, Team 12 Committed looks like the team to beat in the Elite Division.  Tom Demaio’s roster of college-bound players finished the day with a perfect 4-0 record.  After handing Jon Fox’s Crush a rare shutout in the opener, Team 12 defeated Zip It (Las Vegas), Angel City, and the LA Cobras.   Crush, the defending champions, recovered nicely by winning their last three games to finish the day in second place.  Rip City with a 2-1 record also has a shot at a spot in the championship game.
