Evan Egan, a freshman defender at Oak Park, announced his commitment a few weeks ago to attend college and play NCAA D-I lacrosse at North Carolina. As Oak Park noted in its announcement, there were no pictures of him, since he had yet to play his first high school game.
That now has changed, as Egan and the Eagles have three games under their belts, including Saturday’s 14-9 win at Los Alamitos.
Egan will enter UNC with the Class of 2018. His older brother Brendan, a junior middie at Oak Park, is committed to Bucknell in the Class of 2017, planning to take a post-grad year before enrolling in college. That gives the brothers two years of high school lacrosse as teammates, then three years together as D-I players.
Below are some of the tweets from Feb. 22, when Egan made his announcement, picking North Carolina over Syracuse, Maryland and Denver.
Congrats to OP defensemen Evan Egan on his commitment to UNC. Would like to include a picture but his 1st high school game is Saturday.

Oak Park (Calif.) / @WestCoastStarz 2018 defenseman Evan Egan has committed to North Carolina. Rangy and smooth D guy with a ton of upside.
