Santa Margarita Catholic High School rebounded from a disappointing 2013 to finish 2014 with a 12-7 record as the sixth-ranked team in the Southern Section. The Eagles have the talent and the focus to carry last year’s success into 2015 and beyond. Led by captains (), , and (Bellarmine), the Eagles enter 2015 with an impressive mixture of youth and experience on both ends of the field.

Houser, a senior midfielder will lead a balanced offense that will have defensive coordinators scratching their heads over which scoring threat to focus on. Houser with his size and speed is a threat to take it to the cage at any time.  Junior will round out the first line midfield with freshman . Dochterman brings impressive skills and a high lacrosse IQ to his third year of varsity play. Buchman has been very impressive in the offseason.

Senior attackmen () and Joseph Fice will be joined by up front junior Zach Taylor. All three are proven finishers.

Other players to watch this year are LSM/defenseman David Fice on defense, goalie Max Vought, middie Michael Flint, and faceoff specialist Billy Senecal.

  1. CJ Deal might be the most underrated dee man in OC. I have not seen them all but he has solid lax IQ and plays hard the 4 times I have seen him. Caleb Bozartd from San Clememte may have a big year too.

  2. I feel that Logan Doc might be one of the best in the county, and should be able to compete at the college level.
